Long Way Home
Our Love Story
Both born in Meerut, Naynee and Samarth had grown up in the same neighborhood, walked the same halls at school, and yet their worlds never truly collided — at least, not until they met through a mutual friend during college. They’d known each other for almost twelve years, but it wasn’t until 2020, amidst the chaos of a world turned upside down by a pandemic, that their connection truly began to form.
Over the next few years, the connection between Naynee and Samarth deepened. With everything shut down and the world in a state of limbo, they found themselves spending more time together—video calls, text messages, sharing long conversations about everything from their dreams to their fears, from funny memories to their deepest insecurities.
Their “situationship”, stretched on. They were never quite together, but were never apart either. There were no grand declarations, no defining moments—just the slow, steady realization that they were falling in love, even if they didn’t want to admit it. It was easier, safer, to keep things undefined.
But the heart has a way of breaking through even the most well-built walls.
The journey had started years ago, and now, here they are — two people who had grown up beside each other, who had been friends for longer than they had been anything else, are now stepping into the future together. The long, winding road that had brought them together had been worth every twist, every turn. They have found their way home.
